What is Child Abuse Assessment?
Our psychologists carry out child-sensitive evaluations when abuse or maltreatment of a child is suspected. We assess the child’s psychological state to support protective and legal proceedings, always putting the child’s safety and well-being first.
The law behind it — RA 7610
RA 7610 is the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act. It protects children — anyone below 18, or older but unable to fully care for or protect themselves.
It covers many kinds of harm: physical abuse, psychological or emotional abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, cruelty, and exploitation.
The law also requires that children be treated with special care during investigation and court proceedings, in ways that do not add to their trauma.
