What is Adoption Assessment?

GWI provides psychological assessments for adoption. We evaluate prospective adoptive parents — and children when needed — to support adoption applications and safeguard the best interest of the child.

The law behind it — RA 11642

RA 11642 is the Domestic Administrative Adoption and Alternative Child Care Act of 2022. It made adoption in the Philippines mostly administrative — handled by the National Authority for Child Care (NACC) — instead of going through the courts.

This process is meant to be faster, simpler, and more child-focused than the older court-based system.

A psychological assessment helps show that prospective parents are ready and fit, and that the placement serves the child’s best interest.

How we help

  • Psychological evaluation of prospective adoptive parents
  • Child assessment where needed
  • Reports that support the adoption application
